Mer Telecom is continuously strengthening its presence in Latin America and, as a part of this strategy, Mer Telecom started operations in Bolivia during first quarter 2010, creating the local branch, Mer Telecom Bolivia.
Together with one of our global partners, Mer Telecom was awarded the project of the GSM network expansion for one of the operators in Bolivia. Under a full turnkey model, the project includes Civil Engineering, Site Construction, Telecom Towers' provision, transportation, and erection, as well as related logistical services (including a network of warehouses).
Like all projects in Telecommunications, time scheduling for full turnkey project was very tight. On top of it, rural geographical conditions in Bolivia require a high level of experience to have sites 'on air' operation on time. Thanks to our regional presence in Latin America, Mer Bolivia received the necessary support from other Mer Telecom companies in the region. This allowed bringing experienced Civil Engineering and Telecom Implementation teams in a very short time, as well as for quick tower provision, from our local telecom tower stocks in Latin America.
Actually, Mer has expanded the operations in Bolivia, and is working for the three local wireless operators, providing Civil Engineering and Site Construction services, Telecom Towers provision, and Telecom Implementation Services (joining the efforts with a well known global vendor).
In a very short time Mer Telecom has established a branch in Bolivia, including offices, warehouse with related logistical services, and a professional team of experts able to cater any customer's need.
Mer Telecom Bolivia now is known in its country as a global provider of wireless network infrastructure solutions.
