To boost its ability to offer turnkey infrastructure provision to existing and new customers and strengthen its presence in Africa, Mer Telecom has recently established a new subsidiary and operational base in Ghana, Mer Telecom Ghana Ltd.
Within three weeks, spacious and well equipped offices, secured warehouse and a large open storage area were set up manned by a team headed by a well seasoned Country Manager, a turnkey project manager, as well as experienced supervisors, a logistic manager and hand picked administrative and technical local staff.
Actual operation started immediately for a major global operator in Africa which based on previous favorable experience with Mer Telecom in Africa decided to award the company another Network expansion project and this time in Ghana. The project was comprised of turnkey rollout of dozens of Green Field sites including Civil Works for Telecom Infrastructure and Telecom Towers supply as well as other Mechanical and Electromechanical equipments for cellular sites.
As good reputation travels fast, a well known telecom equipment vendor joined Mer Telecom Ghana customer list and entrusted the company with a challenging Telecom Civil Works contract in some of the most remote areas of the country.
